Our Team

Robin Hogg, proprietor and  tour manger.

Robin has resided and worked in Dumfries and Galloway for over 50 years and has extensive local knowledge.
He also has numerous friends and contacts throughout the region to call on to ensure up to date local knowledge of the best places to stay, eat or visit. Each year pre-season research is required to keep abreast of any B&B, hotel, restaurant or local attraction changes.
Robin is enthusiastic about the beautiful scenery and countryside and has the knowledge and experience to design or adapt a standard cycling route to suit the mileage and other preferences of customers.

Several Assistants

Although Robin is the mainstay of the business, in the height of the season, others are engaged to assist when and where required.

Rolf Buwert is our Dumfries and Upper Nithsdale assistant. Rolf Speaks Greman and was of great assistance when we attended the Visitscotland Expo event in Edinburgh in 2007 to meet with several tour agents from Europe.

Ian Young is our Machars assistant and mainly involved with providing up to date information of the area and assisting with luggage transfer.

Dick Henry is our Dalbeattie and Solway Coast assistant with excellent knowledge and communication skills. Dick is mainly involved with luggage transfer and meeting customers when Robin 'can't be two places at once'. Dick is a handyman at other times and popular with all his clients.

For 2009, Andy Struthers will begin to get a handle on the workings of the business. He lives in New Galloway and has up to date knowledghe of the Glenkens. Andy has good IT skills and will assist with improving our website in addition to getting knowledge and hands on experience. This will include getting to know the accommodation places we use while engaged in luggage transfer, checking out visitor attractions, tea rooms and other places of interest.

We have other casual assistants as and when required.
